dubstep usually sits around 140 bpm but feels half that: a kick on one, a snare on three, and plenty of space for sub bass to fill. wobbles, growls and heavy low end carry the drop, from dark and deep to loud and aggressive. get free dubstep downloads here from producers on beltergate.

what does half-time mean in dubstep?
the track runs around 140 bpm, but the snare only lands on beat three of each bar, so the groove feels like 70 bpm. that leaves the sub bass room to move.
what's a wobble bass?
a bass sound whose filter is moved by an lfo, so it opens and closes in time with the beat. change the lfo speed and you change the wobble.
can i play these dubstep downloads in my sets?
that's normally the idea, so yes. play it out and credit the artist when you post the mix. the rights stay with them, which means no re-uploading, selling or claiming the track as yours.
