what is the dembow rhythm?
the beat at the heart of reggaeton: a kick on every beat with a syncopated snare or clap pattern bouncing around it. its roots go back to jamaican dancehall.
what bpm is reggaeton?
usually around 90-100 bpm. that moderate pace gives the syncopated snares and the vocals plenty of room to bounce.
can i play these reggaeton downloads in my sets?
usually, yes, and that's half the fun of a free download. the artist keeps the rights, so no re-uploads, no selling, no claiming it as yours, and a credit in your mix notes.
